In-Home Training You Can Trust

Training where your dog actually lives

Most behavior problems happen at home: the jumping at the door, the barking at the window, the chaos when guests arrive. In-home lessons put a professional trainer one-on-one with you and your dog in the exact environment where the behaviors happen, so the training targets what you actually live with. We come to you throughout the Central Virginia areas we serve. Lessons are tailored to your dog and your goals, from core obedience to advanced skills.

In-home training questions

What does an in-home lesson program include?

Our in-home packages run 4 or 8 private lessons. The 4-lesson Basic Obedience program covers the core commands: come, sit, down, place, out, loose-leash walking, and off (no jumping). The 8-lesson Basic & Advanced program adds extended-distance commands, heel, watch, through, front, and stand, and includes the e-collar and leash.

Why train at home instead of a facility?

In-home lessons happen where your dog actually lives and behaves, which is ideal for targeting the specific behaviors your dog shows in its own environment: the door-dash, the fence-line barking, the counter-surfing. You also learn alongside your dog, so the results carry into your daily routine.

Can in-home training help with aggression or reactivity?

Yes. Our in-home aggressive dog program is 8 lessons: our basic obedience package plus structured desensitization work around other dogs.

How old does my dog need to be for in-home lessons?

Formal obedience lessons start once your dog is at least five months old. For younger puppies, our marker training program builds socialization and foundation skills you can start right away.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. Payment plans are available. Call us today to learn more about payment options.
