“Ollie was always a good boy.” His owner is quick to say so. But Ollie had some behavioral issues with other dogs and with men, and his owner was nervous he would never kick those habits. That is when Ollie came to Off Leash K9 Training Charlottesville.
You can read Ollie’s full review on Google – his owner starts with “Where do I start?”
Where Ollie Started
Ollie’s trouble showed up around other dogs and around men. For a dog who was otherwise easy to love, that made everyday life harder than it needed to be, and his owner worried it was simply who Ollie was.
The Training Journey
We set Ollie up with a combined plan. First came four in-person lessons, so Ollie could get to know our trainer Lauren and they could cover the groundwork together. Then came two weeks of board and train.
While Ollie was away, Lauren sent a report card every night with photos, videos, and updates. His owner describes her as informative, personable, and enthusiastic, and says she communicated very well from start to finish.
Ollie’s Wins
When Ollie came home, his owner says he was so well behaved “it was hard to comprehend.” The habits that seemed permanent were not. The review also calls the e-collar “a lifesaver.”
What It Changed for His Family
Ollie’s owner also has backup: Lauren has stayed available for questions since the training ended, and our program includes refresher sessions if something needs attention down the road. The verdict: “Worth every penny.”
Why Ollie’s Story Matters
Plenty of good dogs have one or two hard habits, and their owners often assume those habits are permanent. Ollie’s story also shows that a plan can be built around the dog. Starting with lessons let him build trust with his trainer before the board and train began. Matching the plan to the dog is something we take seriously at Off Leash K9 Training Charlottesville.
